Paul J Rouillard has been a household name in Ontario’s landlord community for over 15 years. As the founder of the Ontario Landlord Help Group and several other landlord advocacy networks, Paul has helped thousands of landlords navigate the complexities of the Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB), tenant screening, and property management.

🏡 From Humble Beginnings to Real Estate Leadership

Paul was raised in a working-class family. His parents traveled across Canada in search of employment, with his father working in coal mines, gold mines, and other physically demanding jobs. Eventually, they settled down and purchased their first property. Over time, they learned how to leverage equity and acquire multiple student rentals. As Paul got older, he began helping with property management — handling tenants, collecting rent, showing units, and managing day-to-day issues. By the young age of 16, Paul was already negotiating leases, managing tenant relationships, and overseeing the entire rental portfolio. At 22, he launched his own property management company and became a licensed Realtor in the same year. Today, with over 23 years of experience, Paul owns both a full-service property management firm and his own real estate brokerage.
